Summer 22.Jun.2008
Sali,
Since my last update, I've been back to OZ for a holiday, was very good to catch up with a lot of old friends :)
On the gaming side of life, I've release 3 new Teeworlds maps (yes, Teeworlds - for some legal reasons they had to rename the game). The maps that I released are, Thexder (dm), Fortis Caves (ctf) and Sand Tunnels (ctf). For more details and screenshots see the
Teeworlds page.
As for the tile - Summer has finally arrived here in Switzerland, up until now the weather has pretty much sucked, but now we have blue skies and sun - just thought that I'd mention that ;)

Amazed 9.Feb.2008
Hi.
I wasn't going to create another Teewars map before the next major release (0.4),
but then I found out that the next major release was still approximately a month away,
so I decided to make at least one new map and here it is:
mvtwdm04, called Amazed, a DM map best for 6+ players.
The man who strikes first admits that his ideas have given out.
Flatout 10.Jan.2008
Hi.
I've finished and released another Teewars map,
my last for a little while as I've been told that the map format will change with the next major release (0.4),
and that maps made in 0.3.x will not run under the new version.
But fear not, with a little work they can be easily converted to the new format.
Anyway, here is the link to the new map:
mvtwdm03, called Flatout.
You're never to old to play.
A Cold Duel 5.Jan.2008
Happy New Year!
My next Teewars map is available, mvtwdm02, called A Cold Duel.
This is a small map set in the winter theme, created for 1on1 tournament style games.
Look under the stuff section for screenshots.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
Teewars 29.Dec.2007
I've finished testing my first two Teewars maps, so here they are:
mvtwdm01 DM
mvtwctf01 CTF
You can find more details and some screenshots in the Stuff section, under
Teewars.
Save time, see it my way.. ;)
Season Greetings 28.Dec.2007
Hi,
Again, it's been a while since my last update. To start, in November my very good Aussie friend Tim was
here with his newly wed, Kristy - I enjoyed play host to them and they enjoyed playing guest, some images
from his stay here can be found on his website:
timcanning.com.
I was working on a Quake4 map, but it has now been trashed - I lost interest, mainly because I don't actually
play Q4 online. I played Quake4 from start to finish and loved it - the single player gameplay in Quake4 is
great, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
However I haven't stopped mapping - I've started work on a
Warsow map. What is Warsow? It's a free FPS created using
the released Quake2 code. It's fast paced and has great movement physics which makes it a lot of fun to play.
About a week ago I discovered a new game,
Teewars, which is a 2D scroller made by a group of Quake3
fans. It's a free download and a whole lot of fun to play :) This would be a great game to pull out at LAN
parties when you need a break from all the typical FPS games - check it out, it's really worth it. I enjoyed
the gameplay so much so that I'm wokring on 2 maps (DM & CTF) for it now, a RC version of each can be found in the Teewars
forums. If all goes well with the testing, I hope to release both maps tomorrow.
Here are two screenshots from the CTF map that I'm working on:
Bye.
Cute little buggers with guns!
Random Stuff 2.Aug.2007
The map hasn't been trashed, however I've put it on hold for now. It was going so well, until I started
working on the lighting -
I hate how the lighting works (or should I say, doesn't work) in this new engine.
I was having all sorts of troubles trying to get it to look
right, so much so that I've put it on hold...
So what have I been doing? Here's a small selection of what has been keeping me busy:
A while back now, I bought Command & Conquer 3, great game - I really enjoy the multiplayer games.
I wanted to create a map for this game, but the editor requirements are too much for my poor old machine -
but soon!
A small and addictive game:
Desktop Tower Defense.
I've lost quite a few hours on this simple (but very addictive) flash game!
A more recently, I've started playing Diablo2 Lord of Destruction AGAIN -
The new ladder season finally started, so I've been enjoying the fresh start.
Also, I've recently changed the look of my PlanetQuake site.
It is now simply a large listing of all my released work over the years, you can check it out here:
Munyul Verminard.
Finally, I've ordered a new PC and I'm hoping that when it arrives,
it'll give me enough enthusiasm to finish off the map (since the compile times will fly).
Thats all for now, more soon I hope...
